And I thought that this election was to vote for delegates for the neighborhood! But the news freed me from my error. It was to show support for the revolution and opposition to the “media campaign in the U.S. and the E.U.”

In the extended news program broadcast Sunday, they interviewed politicians and ordinary citizens in various locations throughout the country. None of those interviewed had expectations about the management by those being elected, or satisfaction or concerns about the mission of the bodies of People’s Power that have been in existence for thirty-four years. As Fidel said a half-century ago: “Elections? What For?”
